St Leonard's celebratory feast day is the 6th November. St Leonard has a long association with the City of York and is patron saint of political prisoners, imprisoned people, prisoners of war and captives as well as women in labour and horses.
The ruins of the medievel St Leonard's Hospital can still be seen today in the Museum Gardens and the dedicated work of St Leonard's Hospice continues the tradition of care every single day.
To celebrate the feast day of St Leonard a few of our Rushbond team at St Leonard's Place have put their hand to a little bit of baking and produced some marvellous cakes from lemon drizzle through to Oreo brownies!
