St Johns - Leisure - York

Finding new uses for historic buildings that work within their fabric is a development challenge.
St Johns is a Grade I listed building on Micklegate in York, occupying a prominent position in the heart of the City. The building has now been sensitively restored to provide a modern contemporary bar.
Sensitive additions to the internal structure, including a new mezzanine floor, have maximised the potential of the height and space available within the building.
The project represents a fine example of a successful restoration scheme bringing back into use this formerly derelict 12th century building.
